Organizations

An organization is your team's workspace. Your data, members, and (if enabled) your subscription all belong to an organization, so you can keep separate teams cleanly apart.

Switching organizations

Use the organization switcher in the account menu to move between the organizations you belong to. The active organization determines what you see and what your actions apply to.

Inviting members

As an owner or admin, open your organization's Members page and send an invitation by email. The invitee receives a message with a link to accept; once they do, they join with the role you chose.

Roles

Members hold one of three roles:

• Owner — full control, including billing and deleting the organization. Every organization always has at least one owner.
• Admin — manage members and settings, but not ownership transfer or deletion.
• Member — use the product within the organization.

Owners and admins can change a member's role from the Members page. The last owner cannot be demoted or removed — transfer ownership first.

Ownership and leaving

• Transfer ownership to promote another member to owner (do this before the sole owner leaves).
• Leave an organization from the Members page; if you are the only owner, transfer ownership first.

Roles vs. billing

Roles govern who can do what inside an organization. Whether a feature is available depends on the organization's plan — see Billing.
